Can Instapsin be run on C2000 delfino series Microcontrollers

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28069M

I have an application where the TMS320F28069M falls short of resources in terms of peripherals. I need 4 x SCI (uart) ports but it has 2 . I was looking at the delfino series they seem really good , they have 4 x uarts.

I understand that Instaspin is best suited to run on certain piccolo series processors because of the FAST and Spintac is stored in the ROM of these processors. Is there a way to run Instaspin on a TI C2000 processor other than the ones that have FAST/SPINTAC in the ROM? May be the ROM values could be copied to flash ?

I also realize that I don't need FAST and SPINTAC, I wont need sensorless control , I ll be running sensored current controller. Then I can write a sensored PID position controller instead of using Spintac.

The Delfino also has ton of resources , even a dual core option so it seems very attractive. Please advise if anyone has any ideas on how to do it or already done it.
