Hi team,

I am working with the DRV8312-C2-KIT (with the stock F28035 control card). I am currently having an issue with the GUI, but I will walk through some other issues and solutions that I have encountered so far to provide more context to my situation:

After doing a complete install of controlSUITE, I was having trouble with the XDS100 driver and couldn't get the device to connect to the GUI.
I attempted to fix this by updating the driver while pointing the updater to C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\~Utilities\XDS100 Drivers v1.0. That did not work.
This problem was fixed by installing the drivers directly from the website (http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm
I can control the motor using the DRV8312-EVM without any problem.
However, when I run InstaSPIN-BLDC GUI, even though it shows that the kit is connected, I can't read the DC signal or give any commands to the motor--this is my current issue.

To add some additional information to my above posts, I've found that I don't experience the same issue using the F28069 controller card and instaSPIN-FOC or instaSPIN-MOTOR. I can command speed and torque and identify the motor parameters without a problem.

Hi Brian,

I assume you're trying to use the open source InstaSPIN-BLDC with the F28035 instead of InstaSPIN-FOC or InstaSPIN-MOTION, correct?

Hi Sean,

Yes, that is correct. I have two control cards--F28035 and F28069. I'm only experiencing the issue described above when using the F28035+instSPIN-BLDC combo. the F28069+MOTOR/FOC works just fine.

Are you using DRV8312GUIv5 or InstaSPIN-BLDC_GUI_DRV83xx_v104 in "C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\DRV8312-C2-KIT_v128\~GUI"?

Hi Sean,

Sorry for the delay. DRV8312GUIv5 works fine and without issue. InstaSPIN-BLDC is the one that gives me the error.

Hello,

I have exactly the same problem as Brian.

I also work with the DRV8312-C2-Kit and when using the instaSPIN-BLDC GUI I can't do anything. The GUI states that there is a connection, but the lights are not green and nothing happens when enableing the motor.

The PMSM/BLDC Motor GUI works just fine.

Please help me.
