CCS/TMS320F28069: Device operating in low power mode - F28069

Hi,

I am using TMS320F28069 microcontroller with 14 pin JTAG emulator. Recently when I try to debug, I am getting this error.

C28xx: Error: (Error -1156 @ 0x0) Device may be operating in low-power mode. Do you want to bring it out of this mode? Choose 'Yes' to force the device to wake up and retry the operation. Choose 'No' to retry the operation without waking the device. (Emulation package 6.0.628.1)

If I choose yes, it says,

C28xx: Trouble Halting Target CPU: (Error -2062 @ 0x0) Unable to halt device. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK). (Emulation package 6.0.628.1)

But if I run the some example program from the resource explorer, it works fine. Can someone please explain me what to do.

Hi,

Can you check whether the controller is well powered? Both the device and core voltage.

Hi Gautam,
I did check the power. It is good. Now I am getting the following error,

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -1015 @ 0x0)
Device is not responding to the request. Device may be locked, or the debug probe connection may be unreliable. Unlock the device if possible (e.g. use wait in reset mode, and power-cycle the board). If error persists, confirm configuration and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK).
(Emulation package 6.0.628.1)

Actually I am getting both the errors alternatively everytime I debug.

Can you check the functionality of this debug probe on another hardware? Is it able to program and debug? If yes, then try replacing the controller.

Hi Gautam,
There was no problem with the debug probe. I just removed some part of my code which took a lot of memory. Now the controller works fine without any error. Thanks for helping.
