TMS320F280049M: CAN Module Mixed Identifier (Extended and Standard )?

Hi Champs,

My one of customer is evaluating CAN with F280049M. They configured the CAN massage object as following code to receive mixed CAN Identifiers on same CAN node. Some message objects are configured with Standard ID and anothers are set with Extended ID.

In this case, CAN module seems do not work properly. If they do not configure message objects that is configured as Standard Id, the message objects that has Extended Id work well. It also works well in the other way.

Can F28004x configure a mixed CAN Identifier? If so what's wrong on the following configuration code for CAN message object?

Yes, the CAN module can support message objects setup with both standard and extended IDs and transmit/receive them with no issue. In the instance where the first 11-bits of id are the same for an incoming standard message and extended message, the standard message takes priority in being received.

Any other details about the error? Are you able to probe the bus for any additional information about what might be going wrong? Nothing is standing out incorrectly about your message object setup. The fact they are working in the scenario you described I feel eliminates any mishandling of the filters you are using.
