TMS320F28035: eCAN bus retry time

Hi Champs,

In CAN module, it transmit failed and it will automatically retransmit frame again. My customer wants to know how long is retransmission time ? I checked BOSCH CAN2.0 SPEC which mentioned it. Could you please tell me does the paragraph means retransmission time is 29bit timing ? Thanks for your kindly reply in advance.

    Your understanding is correct. However, when I checked the latest spec (ISO 11898-1:2015(E)), the numbers are slightly different. It states that the recovery time from detecting an error until the possible start of the next frame is typically 17 to 23 nominal bit times. This number is 31 in the case of nodes in error passive mode. All this is assuming there are no further errors.
