Parallel XINTF boot in TMS320C28346

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C28346

Hello, I want to start my program form an externel flash, and I choose Parallel XINTF boot mode for my design, so that my program can be load to internel memory from XD[15:0] when prower up. But it is not the same as I expect. when I set the XA15~XA12 to "0101", and connected GPIO12 to GPIO13 in FPGA, then power up. I found there is a pluse from high to low on signal XZCS6 and XRD, then the two signals held the state of low forever, and the address bus always keep "00000", the data bus had a word "10AA". My clock for TMS320C28346 is 20M. I attach my picture about these phenomemons, please help me to slove this problem.

  • I have the same problem as you do . I think you should try this .  You can toggle the  GPIO13 as  “TMS320X3834X Delfino Boot ROM” says , page 41 , figure 22 .  The time sequence should meet the Flash memory speed . It's just an idea , I haven't got chance to try it . If you succeed please reply me .              good luck !!

  • Hello

I am facing the same problem. I tried your proposal but nothing happens. I am tracking the signals using Xilinx Chipscope and see that the DSP does not pull the GPIO12 high after I put the first word on the data bus.

Have you solved this issue? Any suggestions are welcome.
