TMS320F28377S: EQEP Mode

Hi Champion,

EQEPDo you know EQEP support CW/CCW mode like below：

Now we support quadrature count mode, Direction -count mode(up picture "step" and "direction.") , up count and down count mode.

So does EQEP can do like CW/CCW mode. it work as if direction is forward, CW pin inpust speed and CCW is low, reverse side, CW is low and CCW is speed.

Do you know how t implement this function by EQEP? Is is also a general mode foir PTI function

Hi Joe,

For most C2000 devices, including the F2837x, the following appnote should be helpful:

On the F28004x family of C2000 devices, the eQEP peripheral was enhanced. The new QMA module will support various types of CW/CCW input.

Hi Brett,

Very useful guide, but I find we need two EQEP to do it. But we just have one EQEP free in customer system, so can we use one EQEP add some external logic to implement it?

The appnote describes two methods: the external logic method & the 2 QEP method. Section 3 is for the External Logic Interfacing method.
