Hello everyone,

I have a problem for configuring PWM chain : I have understood PWM configuration with sync-in sync-out register etc but I can't synchronise PWM7 on PWM4 because I don't see where the "SYNCSELECT" register is.

Can you help me please, it doesn't appear on "auto completion" of CCS. "SYNCSELECT" is Epwm module register ? Includes are missing ?

My aim is to have PWM1 2 and 3 synchronized on PWM1 and PWM4 5 6 7 synchronized on PWM4. I saw the "Figure 13-7 Time base Counter Synchronization Scheme" I think it's possible but I don't find the sync selection registers.

I think the register you're looking for is in the TrigRegs struct. Can you try:
TrigRegs.SYNCSELECT.bit.EPWM7SYNCIN

Thank you for your answer but I have already tryied it : "TrigRegs is undefined"

Do you know if there is includes or other to add ? Even in registers list on the debug session, I haven't TrigRegs or SYNCSELECt registers.

Hello Jérémy,

It looks like there have been changes to those headers over time where the XBar registers have been split out differently. TrigRegs was formerly in "Xbar.h". I'm going to assign this to someone in the software team who will be able to advise. Thanks for your patience.

Nope I have already Xbar.h included in my project and There isn't "Trigregs" in the file (idem for EpwmXbar register). I am probably missing something about includes/dependancies.

Maybe it's a version problem ?

It doesn't work either, I will try to include all files from controlsuite. Do you have other solution ?

EDIT : I found it in SysCtrl.h file

And it is declared in the global variables file :

But I still can't use it in my code (auto completion is empty and "SyncSocRegs is undefined" (Sysctrl.h and global variables.h are included in my code)

EDIT2 : I can now use it but I had to add "extern volatile struct SYNC_SOC_REGS SyncSocRegs;" line at the begining of my file, can you explain me why only for this register (and no others) ? And how to use it without this line (it will the complicated if I have to put it on each file for each register) ?

You only need to include F2837xD_sysctrl.h, F2837xD_GlobalVariableDefs.c, and F2837xD_Headers_nonBIOS_cpu1.cmd for SyncSocRegs to work properly. Double check that your files are being included correctly and you're doing a CCS "rebuild" project. Additionally, use the controlSUITE examples as a reference for configuring your project.

Obviously, I have forgotten to include GlobalVariableDefs.c in my project, the question is know : why the code is working ? :)
