TMS320F28377D: about errata "Flash: A Single-Bit ECC Error May Cause Endless Calls to Single-Bit-Error ISR"

Hi, TI Expert,

My customer have some question for errata "Flash: A Single-Bit ECC Error May Cause Endless Calls to Single-Bit-Error ISR".

Does this problem occur even if it is execute/fetch from RAM?

ERR_THRESHOLD.THRESHOLD is in the FLASH_ECC_REGS Registers.

In case of a single-bit ECC detected when a fetch from RAM. In this case, is it influence to MEMORY_ERROR_REGS register ?

Yojiro,

The errata is applicable only to Flash single bit errors.

You are correct on the RAM.

Hi Vamsi,

Thank you for your support.

If set to CEINTEN=1 and CERRTHRES=0.
--> MEMORY_ERROR_REGS: Correctable error threshold is 0, and Correctable Error Interrupt is enabled.
When a single-bit ECC detect from RAM fetch, is occur endless loop as same as this issue ?

That endless loop errata is not applicable for RAM single-bit errors.
