I have seen the below post from 2014:

Also the note at page 10 of F2869F silicon errata - SPRZ342
seem to be aligned with this.
But just to be sure:
-The instaspin lib that is ROMed has not been changed since the very first rev B device until actual rev B devices. Correct?
- Changes in ROM would only occur with a new silicon revision. Correct?
