LAUNCHXL-F28069M: Changing SPI CLK line

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28069M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28069

Dear All

     I want to reduce the SPI to a clock less than 18KHz (CLK line)

LSPCLK=SYSCLKOUT/14

CLK=LSPCLK/(127+1)

This gives CLK=50KHz

Only reducing now SYSCLKOUT (90MHz) to SYSCLK/4 (90MHz/4)

Only reducing the TMS Clock? How to do this? Please give me an example

Thanks

  • Hello!

    I am not sure what you are referring to when you say "TMS Clock". The TMS signal is a JTAG signal that is not controllable by user code. Do you mean "TMS" as in the device? aka. TMS320F28069? If so, TMS is not a common name for this device. Please use C2000, F28x, or F28069. This will be much more helpful for other people to know what you are talking about.

    For SPICLK. You are doing everything possible to reduce the speed. There are no other dividers between SYSCLK and SPICLK that you can change that affect the SPICLK rate.

    May I ask what you need such a slow SPICLK for? what device are you communicating with?

    Thanks,
    Mark
