TMS320F28379D: McBSP clock and frame signals

Part Number: TMS320F28379D

Hello,

I am using the Multichannel Buffered Serial Port (McBSP).

I am sending data with MDXA and MDXB at the same time (same applies for receiving, with MDRx).

To do so, port A is the master. It triggers the clock and frame signals (I have shortcircuited externally MCLKXA with MCLKRB and MFSXA with MFSRB).

Does anybody know if it can be done internally, without connecting pins by soldering?

Thank you.

  • Hi Roger,

We have an internal loopback mode within the same module (MDXA->MDRA) but not across modules. Can you give us some more details about your application and what you are trying to do? Why are you sending data between McBSP modules on the same device?

    Regards,

    Kris

  • Hello Kris,

I have two DC/DC converters, one working as master and the other as slave (different PCBs, so each one with its own TMS320F28379D).
Right now I am only using port A and it is enough. But maybe in a future I will need to double the amount of data transmitted.

    Thank you for the answer.
