    The F240 device does not support boundary scan. The JTAG interface is simply used as a port for programming the internal flash memory and communication with the CPU. The internal registers necessary to perform full JTAG boundary scan are not implemented on the silicon.  If you intend to use a JTAG port on your target board for boundary scan testing multiple devices, you can include the F240 in the chain by bypassing it using the JTAG BYPASS instruction.  The INSTRUCTION register on F240 is 8 bits wide.
