TMS320F28377D: Registers/flags recording cpu error status

Part Number: TMS320F28377D

We are using a Delfino F28377D controlCARD (TMDSCNCD28377D) to operate and control a power converter. However, while feeding the power converter with high voltage dc input and after a while (30s to 2min or more), suddenly the DSP sets all outputs to low (or high impedance). This failure must be connected to power supplying issues of the control card, EMI or noise. We have been wondering if there is some control register, led on the card, or pin, that we can monitor in order to determine the state or (even better) the reason the CPU enters this mode of operation.

Any help will be highly appreciated,

  • Hi,

Have you monitored the XRSn pin of the device ? XRSn is reset pin for the device and if for some reason device is getting reset internally then you'll see XRSn pin going low.

  • Hello Vivek,

Do you mean we should monitor the pin with an oscilloscope or (somehow) with CCS?

We scanned all registries for changes before and after the lock-out and we noticed that there is a Non-maskable Interrupt raised. Seams like EMI, unfortunately.

Thank you for your quick reply.
