Hello Champs!

We would like to evaluate the feasibility of using the SM320F28335-HT device in one of our upcoming designs. I see that this product is on the roadmap but not yet available in Hi-Rel. Can someone please shed some light on availability. I would like to know availability of the entire development environment not just the device. For example, development boards and and other tools.

Also, I would like to know if any of the products in the Stellaris family available or will be available in Hi-Rel.

Hi Krishna,

We are still about two weeks away from offical release of the High Temperature F28335 device. We have provided several ceramic samples to your Sugar Land location and will work with Morgan Lollar our local TI contact in Houston to provide follow up with you. The code development tools are the same used for the industrial F28335 and standard EVM board can be used for software development.

TI HiRel is evaluating some of the Stellaris parts for higher temperature operation, but have not put any on our roadmap at this time.

Hi Mont,

Thanks for the feedback you provided on the 28335. This device is looking like a better candidate for us. I would like to get the following additional information:

1. Is there any data available related to CANOpen running on 28335?

2. Has DSP BIOS been ported to 28335?

Yes, BIOS is available for free on 28335

Yes, CANOpen is available on all 28x devices

Are data sheets available for these parts?

I'm particularly interested in (a) Does the Flash work (at high temperature)? and

(b) what is the power consumption (at high temp) ?

The product folder for the SM320F28335-HT part should be visible soon and will have the data sheet.

The part including the Flash was charaterized at 210C and works at that temperature. The data sheet will also provide information on current consumption at temperature.
