Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I am using the TMS320F28069M CCS debug with Code Composer Studio. How do I have this system generate a speed vs time plot? I went to the Tools drop down menuse and selected graphs, but it is not clear how to select speed as the variable and how to set the time axis.

Can anyone help?
