TMS320F28377S: Output mismatch

Greetings to all,

I am simulating PMSM FOC drive. For that I developed motor simulation using MATLAB/simulink and built the motor simulation via CCS into the processor using MATLAB2017a embedded coder. And I wanted to display my motor speed which is in radians per second in CRO. I sent the output through DAC to view it but I am surprised to see very small output range of value than the actual speed value. Can anyone explain me the cause for it?

Hi Priya,

Can you expand a bit on what values you are sending to the DAC and what voltages you are seeing out of the DAC?

Hi Frank,

I was expecting to see 21 radians per seconds which is the mechanical speed of the rotor. But the output is 20 millivolts.

Priya,

The DAC only outputs what you send to it scaled to fit in the reference range which is why i'm asking you the values being sent to the DAC. Since you are writing to the DAC, you should be able to log the written values. Logging just one cycle should be enough.
