TMS320F28075: SCI Boot Mode 0

Part Number: TMS320F28075

Hi hotline,

the default SCI-Boot 0 use GPIO72 and GPIO84 (table6-10 inSPRS902B Divice Boot Mode).

But simultaneously is GPIO84 = SCIA-TXD

How can this work???

Regards

Gerfried

  • Gerfried,
a weak pull up or pull down on the GPIO84 should not affect the SCI-TX functionality. You can take a look at the Launch PAD schematics for F2837xD, that part has the same GPIO usage. Once the device decodes the device boot mode, the GPIO is configured to be SCI TX pin.

On a side note, on this part users can modify the device boot mode pins if needed, please refer to section 3.4 of the device TRM.

    Best regards
