Hello,

During the downloading the code from the PC to the MCU the process of erasing the flash takes the most of the time, if the code is not that big. Especially in large flash parts like Delfino..28335.

1. Is there a way to configure .CMD of may be any other configuration file to use fewer sectors?

2. Wouldn't it also help to minimize unnecessary exercising unused sectors?

The easiest way to reduce time in flash programming is to change your flash programming options in CCS. Go to Tools --> On-Chip Flash Programmer. Here you can select which flash sectors you want to erase/program/verify. You may need to be in a debug sessions before being able to access this menu.

You would just need to allocate the sections of memory to fewer sections of flash so you do not need to erase/program/verify multiple sections. An easy way to do this is to take an existing .CMD file from an example in controlSUITE and modify it to your needs.
