C2000-GANG: Getting Error and then aborted when loading F280049M image

Hi,

When my customer try to load a image to gang programmer, the GUI program shows error and then aborted.

Could you let me know why and how to fix it?

    It's just basic abort message.

    "C2000-GANG GUI - Gang Programmer for C2000 MCU has stopped working

    windows can check online for a solution to the problem

    ->Check online for a solution and close the program

    ->close the program

    v view the program details"

    Ted,

    Your tool version looks correct.

    Did they try this on another F280049M device?

    Are they using their custom board? If yes, are they able to program Flash using CCS? This helps us to understand whether the issue is with the tool or the board.

    Vamsi,

    They didn't have a problem when they used CCS to download the image.

    This happens when they try to load their .hex file into gang programmer.

    not gang programmer to F280049M.

    Hi,

    Please download the latest code for C2000-GANG from TI website. The latest version is 1.0.8.0. That version support the F28004x. Let me know if that helps.

    Hi Ted,

    Can you email me a few first lines (10 to 20 lines) of the hex file? Probably the file has 8 bits format instead 16b format.

    This issue solved by using

    --memwidth=16 --romwidth=16 --intel

    option in C2000 hex utility.
