F28M35H52C: 12 GPIO configuration as external interrupt

Hello,

i have gone through external interrupt example of concerto C2x core. This example shows 1 external interrupt is assigned to XINT1 and another to XINT2 .

But i have to use 12 interrupt signals on C2x core. As per manual there are only 3 external interrupts are available i.e. XINT1, 2,3 .

So how can i divide and assign my 12 input interrupt signals in group of 4 to these 3 external interrupts.

also is there any connection between m3 core and c2x core for doing this.

C28x core itself supports only 3 external interrupts, as you have rightly mentioned. For the remaining interrupts, you need to take the assistance of the M3 processor. You could then leverage a shared resource (such as IPC) to indicate to the C28x core about the occurrence of the interrupt. There is no direct connection between the processors, from an interrupt perspective.

Hi Sandeep,

One other thought: if you aren't using trip zones in your system, you might be able to use TZs to serve as external interrupts. You may also be able to use eCAP.
