I am using matlab 2009a.I have search tool kits on matlab by using version function (ver) but didn't find this kit.

now please tell me what should i do now.?

Hi Atiq,

Put C2000lib in the command window of Matlab and you'll see all the availables targets (Yours is there). Also please refer to Matlab help (Target Support package) for more information

i checked my toolboxes in matlab. I have following toolboxes of embedded targets,

Embedded IDE Link CC                                  Version 3.4        (R2009a)
Embedded IDE Link MU                                  Version 1.2        (R2009a)
Embedded IDE Link TS                                  Version 1.4        (R2009a)
Embedded IDE Link VS                                  Version 2.2        (R2009a)

Does these toolboxes work with my target .?

In the command windows, write:

>>C2000lib

when you write this command, a new window pops up with differents blocks, choose the block you need and you'll see all the block you have for the particular processor

Dear Gaston,

I have made my model through this lib and i have checked it via simulation menu, it shows my model as pass.

now when i connect my model to my target, it gives me same error.

what should i do now.??

Hi Atiq,

Can you post the error?

Go to the matlab help (Target package) and you'll see some examples for your target.

When i click connect to target, Following error is appearing "External Mode Open Protocol Init command failed."

Do this:

1) Close CCS (stop the process), disconnect the piccolo from the computer.

2) Close Matlab (If is open)

3) Re-connect the piccolo

4) Open matlab, DON´T open CCS (Matlab opens CCS)

5) Open your model

6) Press Ctrl + B (wait 2 seconds and then you'll see simulink generates C-code). CCS will open

If the error still persist, post again

I have done what you just said.

my model is working properly,Thanks.

but i want to do in a way that,

i want to connect my model direct through matlab.In simulation mode i select the 'External mode'.and then i click connect to the target button very next to mode select.

but when i click the following error is appear,

"The corresponding 'c2000hostsci_rx.tlc' file for the M S-function 'c2000hostsci_rx' in block 'c2000scitest/SCI Receive' must be located in the current working directory, the M S-function directory 'C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2009a\toolbox\rtw\targets\tic2000\tic2000blks', or the directory 'C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2009a\toolbox\rtw\targets\tic2000\tic2000blks\tlc_c'

After that i move file c2000hostsci_rx to that location,

but it still gives me same problem..:S

now please help me..!

I wanna ask u that cant matlab work without ccs..?? i mean alone.?from making model to run it on the target board..??with out involving ccs..?
