Hi,

Regarding WAIT state for flash read. I have read the datasheet which shows that the page flash access time min is 36ns. So based on flash access time if i run my controller at 90Mhz them i will have to keep the WAIT cycle of min 3. What if I keep the WAIT cycle time for flash access to 1 at 90Mhz ?

Hi Chandrakant,

The flash controller doesn't run as fast as microcontroller. So, wait states are introduced so that microcontroller can wait till the data is provided by the flash controller. If we try to read the data faster, once may end up getting an erroneous data.

So, please use the wait cycle time as mentioned in the datasheet.
