I am not quite sure what you are asking. The MCP4822 is an external DAC chip. It looks like it is a SPI interface to communicate. We do not have explicit example code to cover this behavior. If you look through the E2E there are a few threads discussing communication with external devices. Here is a link to one: e2e.ti.com/.../425775

We do also have an example of the F2837x communicating with an AFE031 device, this uses the SPI to send commands and read data from the AFE chip. This would be the approach that you would need to follow.

Also, if you take a look at Energia, there is an LCD driver example with SPI.
