TMS320F28032: port pin usage, reference design

Part Number: TMS320F28032

Hi does  a reference design exist using the 80 pin part (launch pad)

can the X1, X2, and ADC port pins be left open  when unused?

can X1,X2 connector be used as port pins.

How long will the part be available

Can the ADC input pins be used as GPIO

thanks

  • James,

Answers to many of your questions is available in the device datasheet:

Hi does a reference design exist using the 80 pin part (launch pad)

    Link for Controlcard: http://www.ti.com/tool/tmdscncd28035

can the X1, X2, and ADC port pins be left open when unused?

Please see page 14 of the datasheet (SPRS584L) for X1/X2 pins.

Please see page 81 of the datasheet (SPRS584L) for ADC pins.

can X1,X2 connector be used as port pins.

Please see page 14 of the datasheet. It does not show any GPIO option for X1/X2 pins.

How long will the part be available?

C2000 parts typically have a long life cycle. There are no plans right now to EOL this part.

Can the ADC input pins be used as GPIO?

Please see pages 14/15 of the datasheet (SPRS584L) that clearly show the I/O options for ADC pins.
