I understand from reading the datasheet that the PowerPAD is not connected internally to the die for the F28334/35 DSPs. In this case is it acceptable to connect this to ground or power to best dissipate heat? I am guessing that connecting to ground to spread the heat over the ground planes and get it away from the package is best but I was wondering if anybody has direct experience.
