Can I ask your plan for TMS320F2837xD to have certifications of IEC 61508 standard?

Q: Material schedule: Do you expect the safety *NDA* materials will be available at the same time?


Q: Material variety: What kind of materials are planned? {A case of Hercules would be NonNDA/NDA PDFs, C compiler qualfication, Library/Driver,... }?

    What NDA materials are you requesting?

    Let me provide some clarification:

    The TMS320F28377D device has already been assessed by TUV-SUD to meet a Systematic Capability to the level of SIL-3 (per IEC 61508) and ASIL-D (per ISO 26262). We have a technical report from TUV-SUD that we can share with you in it's entirety under a SafeTI-NDA. We are working with TUV to finalize the random HW capability assessment. An exact timeline for this is not yet final and we should be able to provide some firm guidance on this by end of 1Q-2018.

    And once the SafeTI NDA is signed and executed you will immediately be give access to the following Functional Safety Collateral:

    1. A Safety Manual for the  TMS320F28377D that details out more than 300 safety mechanisms

    2. A detailed, tunable, quantitative FMEDA that can be tailored to meet the product functions that you are using in your end application

    Additionally, we also have a C28x and CLA (CPUs on the  TMS320F28377D) compiler qualification kit that can be downloaded from - http://www.ti.com/tool/safeti_cqkit
