The internal DEV_CFG_REGS structure includes a lot of information about the device the software is executing on. It includes the full device part number information except for the temperature range. I would like to make sure that the correct temperature range part is installed. The TMS320F28377 part is supplied in three junction temperature (Tj) ranges of T, S, and Q. How would I determine this from software?
The TMS320FF28377 data sheet in table 5-51 lists the temperature sensor accuracy of +-15C. Is this the uncalibrated accuracy of the sensor? We are using the latest version of the parts that have the calibration data for the ADC and temperature sensor. Using the TI provided temperature sensor software routine with TI calibration data can we expect to see better accuracy for the sensor? If so, the how much better and will it be updated in the data sheet?
