My customer is using F28033 and here is one problem they met. They can't provide further codes and EPWM configuration so I just describe it in words here.
Basic configuration is as following:
COM1 to generate COMPOUT to DC sub-module in EPWM and then generate DCAEVT1, which is fed back to EPWM1 as sync source.
EPWM1 and EPWM2 will enable sync function and EPWM1 will pass that sync signal to EPWM2 by setting SYNCOSEL=TB_SYNC_IN=0.
Problem is that EPWM1 is indeed sync'ed but EPWM2 is not.
It's also already verified by connecting EPWM1 sync out signal to GPIO that the sync signal from EPWM1 to EPWM2 is not output, but with identical configuration, SW force sync does be able to sync both EPWM1 and EPWM2 together.
However, from the block diagram below, SW force sync should be identical to DCxEVTy event when used for sync function:
Can anyone provide any suggestions or verify it as well, or confirm there's any issue within the EPWM?
