Hello,

I'm looking for 3-phase 20kW offboard EV charger solutions with TMS320F28335 mcu for PFC and DC-DC.

I started to study TIDM-1000 and TIDM-PSFB-DCDC.

1. Is it possible to make 20kW charger if I modify two EVM boards(TIDM-1000 and TIDM-PSFB-DCDC)?

2. Can I have any help from TI to make 20kW charger board?

    Han,

    All the TI Designs TIDM-1000 and PSFB kit that you are referring to, are provided to accelerate your time to market. Design files and software are provided for you to modify based on your engineering decision and come up with your system. 

    For 20kW you will have to consider HW components, layout, control design and software changes. Also, you will need to do independent analysis on efficiency etc. 

    TIDM-1000 is supported in powerSUITE framework and that should help in modifying the code and control. However, it does not help with power stage design. 

    If there is a specific question related to C2000 MCU usage in this application, we will be happy to help you with those.
