TMS320F28035: Reset Button Design

Part Number: TMS320F28035

Hello,

I have a question concerning the nXRS pin on the F28035.  I have a reset button that is designed with a 2.2k ohm pull up resistor per datasheet requirement.  However, do I need to add a capacitor in parallel with the switch for reliability?  I am asking because I was reading TI's Hardware Design Guide and it says that "During power down, the XRS pin must be pulled low at least 8 μs prior to VDD reaching 1.5 V to enhance
Flash reliability."  Later it reads that a simple RC circuit is sufficient.  Any insight is appreciated.  Thank you.
