CCS/BOOSTXL-DRV8301: Need a solution for inverter.

Part Number: BOOSTXL-DRV8301

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

We have tried a small circuit by connecting an arduino with a BootSTXL -DRV8301, we gave the PWM gates SPI communication inputs, yet the motor did not run. Then we gave the same input to the hall sensor gates to run a 3 phase BLDC motor , and the motor runs for 10 seconds due to gate switching and the inverter is fried. Please help us by telling us a way around this problem.

Also if we need to change the micro controller , what should we change it to.

IS TMSF28035 Picollo micro controller sufficient to run this circuit with Bootstxl , please give the code and the procedure.

  • Hi Tejasvin, we will not support an Arduino MCU, as they're not our area of expertise. Please consider using a C2000 microcontroller, the F28035 you listed is suitable, as well as another device such as the F28027F. If you are to continue using the Arduino, there should be other forums that will provide good resources for this platform.
