TMS320F280049: CANB do not work in pin29/30

My customer found CANB do not work in pin29/30 in his F280049 sample device. It can work if re-arrange the CANB to other pin such as pin 33/34 or pin 63/64.

After double check the pin signal arrangement in datasheet, it indeed describe that CANB is not available in pin29/30 for PMQ package, but should be available on pin29/30 for PMS package.

However customer sample device is XF280049MPMS, can we double confirm CANB should be available or not in pin29/30 for XF280049MPMS?

And customer actually need Q version for Automotive Application, however we cannot see PMQ device in the www.ti.com, when customer can order the Q version F280049?

Hi Terry,

Is it possible to get the device markings of the F280049 device in question? Particularly interested in the lot trace code as this information will give us some insignt on how the device was built on the initial sample that the customer has

The orderable Q version for the PM package (64 pin) should be F280048. The only supported F280049 Q version is on the PZ package (100 pin).

Just checking if you were able to get the device marking and details of the particular 64PM device where the customer had issues using CANB on pins 29 and 30.
