CCS/TMS320F28379D: Solution Adaptor Buck Code

Part Number: TMS320F28379D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28075, LAUNCHXL-F28379D, BOOSTXL-BUCKCONV

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

I'm interested in developing for the TMS320F28075.  Looks like the F28379D launchpad is the only way to go for launchpads as the xS launchpad looks discontinued.  I wanted to start with the buck example in the solution explorer to get my feet wet.

Will the solution explorer example ment the the xS launchpad work on the F28379D  launchpad?

Regards,

Jake

  • Jake,

I am not sure what you are referring to about the "solution explorer"?

That being said, The Delfino F28379D is the functional superset of the F28377S device. Any code that has been written for the F28377S will run on the F28379D. The LaunchPads have a different pin map. In order to move the LAUNCHXL-F28379D LaunchPad, you should only need to modify the GPIO pin muxing.

    Thanks,
    Mark
  • Hi Mark,

thanks for the quick reply. Yest that is what i'm referring to. Hoping to get up and running with the buck example using the BOOSTXL-BUCKCONV. Without to much fuss to get my feet wet.

Sounds like it shouldn't be to bad to get it up and running with the 28379D.

    Regards,
    Jake
  • Great,

Yes, there shouldn't be much of an issue porting at all. Just make sure that your GPIO configurations have been updated. If you have specific issues with the Solution Adapter, please create a new topic with any specific questions.
