TMS320F28379D: QEP output emulator using CLB logic

Is there any update on the following information?

This feature is already on our creative backlog for PTO.  Due to our current shop workload, it could not be scheduled for this year.but is targeted to be available in 2018. The concept that we have is that the existing libraries of Position Manager absolute encoder Master interfaces, EnDat, BiSS-C, T-format, (Nikon A-format coming) as well as the analog sensor solutions (SIN/COS and Resolver) would remain the same but would then also include a QEP output emulator (give it speed, direction and index/0deg) as an additional CLB logic function.
