TMS320F28375D: F2837xD EMIF Interfacing to SDRAM

Hi champs,

I have a question about EMIF.

I saw TRM's "25.3.5.2 Interfacing to SDRAM".
According to this, the address bus is up to 11 Bit.
(Looking at the data sheet, it seems possible to connect until 13 Bit.)

When I want to connect a SDRAM with address bus16BIT and data bus 16BIT, how do I connect it?

For example
EM 1 A 13 (O) and EM 1 CAS (O)
EM 1 A 14 (O) and EM 1 RAS (O)
EM 1 A 15 (O) and EM 1 DQM 0 (O)
EM 1 A 16 (O) and EM 1 DQM 1 (O)
Is it possible to control these address buses or control buses with GPIO using software?
Please tell me if possible.

  • Hi Shinji-san,

    Most of the SDRAM devices have 13bit address lines only (A0 - A12). Which SDRAM device you are using with 16bit address lines? 

    Section 25.3.5.2. is only showing an example. For max configuration, you need to refer the pinmux section of datasheet only.
