RTOS/TMS320F28027: Using TI-RTOS with Instaspin-foc project lab examples

Hi All,

I'm developing an app based on motoware's instaspin-foc project lab examples (sw\solutions\instaspin_foc\boards\hvkit_rev1p1\f28x\f2802xF\projects\ccs\proj_lab01c).

Is it possible to add support for TI-RTOS in the above example? I've already installed C:\ti\tirtos_c2000_2_16_01_14

Also, the examples provided in C2000 TI-RTOS are only for concerto family.

Any pointers on how to go about it will be helpful.

We have never done any TI-RTOS development for InstaSPIN in Motorware before, so you would be heading into uncharted waters. That being said, the main necessity of FOC is to close the current loop as fast as possible if you have a high PWM frequency. If you can ensure that the ADC ISR has highest priority in your threaded system, and the bandwidth is sufficient for your control use case, I don't see why you shouldn't be able to use a multi-threaded OS in a Motorware project
