TMDSSOLARPEXPKIT: Vrms value unstable in the watch window while debugging

hello,

I am experimenting with the TMDSSOLARPEXPKIT and running the project with BUILT 2. In the ISR inverter section there is a line to get the Vrms of the output voltage VrmsReal = _IQ15mpy (KvInv, sine_mainsV.Vrms);. However when watching the value in the watch window expressions while debugging, it shows a value that is always fluctuating and never gets stable. Although when measuring Vrms at the output with a digital multimeter the value is stable. Can anyone help please?

Hi Angel,

What amount of variation are you observing? Can you share the min and max values as compared to the multimeter value?

Hi Gautam,

thank you for your fast response. The multimeter values stays at 23,6Vrms and the VrmsReal that you can observe in the watch window varies from 1,5V to 26V randomly.

Angel,

That seems to be a lot of variation. We do know that noise on the sensing can cause the sinealayzer module to have fluctuations.

To address this we had modified the sine-analyzer module to accomodate a jitter filter, but the solar explorer kit code will not be using that module.
