Hello,

We brought the two LAUNCHXL-F28027F + BOOSTXL-DRV8301.

We want to run motor in four quadrant operation . for that we are referring

but from image we didn't get it how two motor and driver connection are done. so can any one tell me connection for four quadrant operation.

  • Four-quadrant operation and inversion may need only one motor. To run the machine as a motor in the direction with positive speed and torque in quadrant 1, to run the machine as a motor in the opposite direction with negative speed and torque in quadrant 3, and operating the machine as a generator, so that power is returned to the power supply, the converter then ‘inverting’ power rather than rectifying, and the system operating in quadrant 2 or quadrant 4.

    As you referenced forum, every motor is connected to a LAUNCHXL-F28027F + BOOSTXL-DRV8301, and the shafts of these two motor were connected by a coupling. It just used one motor to pull another one to the opposite direction to demo four-quadrant operation.
