i am using a personal design board of 28335. i am trying to boot the dsc via serial (sci-a) but unable to connect the device.

i have ezdsp kit of 28335. serial bootloading is working fine on it. i am using codeskin for the serial bootloading.

but on the new designed board it is not working. everything else is working fine. it seems DSC is held in reset when i pull GPIO84 (requiredd for serial bootloading) low.

same setting are working fine on ezdsp kit. am i missing something requrired for serial boot mode?

    do i need  any additional settings?

    i am using SM320F8335 which is a ep version of TMS320F28335.

    serial booting is working fine on ezdsp kit but not on designed board

    the issue was resolved.

    the problem was with the GPIO pins selection.

    oin the boot rom reference guide it is mentioned that only GPIO28 and GPIO29 can be used for serial boot.

    i was using another GPIO.

    the issue is sovled. successfully connected the controller via serial boot using C2000prog utility.
