CCS/TMS320F28377D: Can Uniflash program the CPU2 core?

Part Number: TMS320F28377D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH,

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I have Uniflash properly loading the CPU1 on my TMS320F28377D, but it fails to load my CPU2 core. I am hoping this is some configuration setting on Uniflash that I missed. I have the same settings as CPU1 except, I selected the C28xx_CPU2 program selection, and in Settings & Utilities I selected the CPU2 Core selection. Is there anything else I should select?

Attached is the console-output from Uniflash.

Thanks,

Jim

  • Jim,

I could not reproduce this error when loading some simple programs into CPU1 and CPU2.

Your Uniflash settings appear to be fine, so I don't think it is a Uniflash issue. I suspect the issue to be elsewhere, perhaps a hardware or PLL setting issue. You could try loading the same program using CCS to have another data point. I will also move this thread to the C2000 device forum as the experts there might have additioanl advise from a board/device perspective.

  • Jim,

    1) Were you able to program CPU2 at least once on this device?
    2) Are you using your custom board or a control card?
    3) Did you program any of the DCSM settings in CPU1/CPU2?
    4) How are the boot mode pins configured? Make sure they are not configured for flash-boot.

    Thanks and regards,
    Vamsi
  • Jim,

I am closing this post assuming that you are able to resolve the issue.
You can start a new thread if needed.

    Thanks and regards,
