CCS/TMS320F28027F: Some issues for the TMS320F28027F

Part Number: TMS320F28027F
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE, MOTORWARE

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi All,

Is there the program to turn off the PWM if the IPM overcurrent(TZ1 or TZ2 or TZ3 get to 1),thanks?

We use to the TMS320F28027F EVM.

  • Which example project are you referring?

You may follow below steps to do this.
    1. Connect the fault pin of IPM to GPIOs of TZ1/2/3 pin of F28027F
    2. Configure the GPIO to TZ function.
    3. Configure TZSEL and TZCTL registers of EPWM module to set trip zone source and state.

All motor control example projects in both controlSUITE and motorware have this setting to turn off PWM if there is a low level input on TZ1/TZ2/TZ3 pin. You may find more detailed codes in these example projects.
  • Hi Ming,

    Thanks for your comment.

1.Now I want to know what the differece between F28027F.CMD and F28027.CMD(just as change on the F28027F.CMD to F28027.CMD,the debug is error),thanks?

2.If we load program of ControlSUITE to the project, are there any operation procedure? For example,I want to load the SCI in the proj_lab05b(there is no reference in the motorware),what need we to do?
  • 1. Reserve the M1 RAM for the library to use in F28027F if you want to use instaSPIN-FOC algorithm in motorWare. F28027 can't support instaSPIN-FOC for it doesn't have instaSPIB library in its ROM.
    2. You can merge the program code of controlSUITE into the lab projects in motorware, but you have to include all related header files in controlSUITE. For adding SCI, you can refer to motorware_hal_tutorial.pdf files in the folder of motorware to know how to add SCI files to lab project without using the controlSUITE.
  • Hi Ming,

Thanks for your patient answer,I will try my best to solve this issue.
