TMS320F28379D: how to generate a k-clock whose frequency is proportional to a calculated value

In an application, I need generate a k-clock (also called k-Trigger)output whose frequency is proportional to the calculated value by DSP. It differs from PWM which is pulse width modulation. Is there any hardware source in f28379D can use to generate such clock or tigger signal easily.

I'd appropriate it if you can give any suggestion and help!

Hi Hai Xuan,

This feature is likely not supported natively by this device. Do you have any waveform samples you can provide so that we can see how we can achieve it with our device?

Can you tell us more about your application as well? We would like to understand how you are using the k-clock to evaluate adding it to future devices.

Hi Hai Xuan,

The PWM module is what you want. This module allows you to configure much much more than just the duty cycle.

At the most basic level, you can modulate the frequency by adjusting the ePWM timebase period duration.
