TMS320F28069M: Upon start up red LED error

Part Number: TMS320F28069M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MOTORWARE, CCSTUDIO

We are using the C2000 microcontroller in the High Voltage kit sold by TI. We have installed all the software (Code Composer, GUI composer, motorware, etc.) needed to operate the kit. We have connected a 15 VDC source to the kit and a micro USB to the ControlCard. Originally we had used this set up and gotten results from the GUI. We left the system connected to the computer over night and when we returned the next day to begin working, our kit could not connect to the computer. When initializing we received the following error message:

sun.org.mozilla.javascript.internal.WrappedException: Wrapped com.ti.ccstudio.scripting.environment.ScriptingException: Error connecting to the target: emulation failure occurred (<Unknown source>#14) in <Unknown source> at line number 14Restart Completed.

We also noticed that the ControlCard had two LEDs on the far right portion of the card. There are three LEDs in a column on this side of the card. The center LED was flashing red and the bottom LED was flashing green. This is indicative of an error.

What does this error mean? Is the issue software or hardware related? How can this error be resolved?
