TMS320F28379S: Buffer for ADC

Part Number: TMS320F28379S

Hello,

One of our customers would like to use the TMS320F28379SZWTS for their next gen motor drive design. The question they have is if they can use one buffer for all the 4 ADCs or they will need one buffer to each one of the ADCs?

Regards,

Meir.

It is always recommended to have an individual buffer for every ADC channel. BTW using single buffer, is the input same to all 4 ADC channels?

  • Hi Meir,

The device TRM gives some information about how to structure the VREFHI driving circuits:
www.ti.com/.../spruhx5e.pdf in section "Designing an External Reference Circuit"

For the actual ADC inputs, you want to make decisions for each input individually based on the impedance of the signal, accuracy requirements, sampling speed requirements, etc.
