C2000-GANG: C2000-GANG

Part Number: C2000-GANG

Hello,

I received this inquire from a customer on using the C2000-Gang programmer: I don't have one of these in the field.

I am working in the interactive mode. I also try to verify the program in the target and that appears to be good too. After the program has finished, I would usually see the green “OK” LED come on on the gang programmer and that is not happening. I know that the LED itself is ok because it comes on at boot up. Is it possible  that I missed something in creating the image that I set up?

Also, is it possible to do a verify when using the programmer in  a stand alone mode with no PC?

Thanks for any help!

  • Jason,
I believe we have one down in the lab. I'll take a look at this on Monday to see if I can duplicate the conditions your customer is seeing.

  • Hi,

Make sure that all code was programmed. If verification was OK, then whole contents of the code was downloaded to MCU. It can be created image of the contents saved in MCU and used in the standalone mode in the field if required. If code was working under debugger and LED was blinking, but that is not the case if code was programmed, then check if the MCU is working under debugger, then disconnect debugger, power cycle the MCU and check if the LED is blinking. Maybe some of RAM contents was initialized by debugger only, but not by the firmware. If so - check the firmware.
