CCS/TMS320F28379S: access the code/data section information from the application

Hi,

How can I get the addresses/locations and the corresponding lengths in the application code for each section (such as .text and .ebss) that is defined in the .cmd file?

Hi Henry,
After you compile your code, you can see the required information in "<project name>.map" file. This will be under the Debug/Release folder of your project.

I need the section details at run time. So how can I retrieve this information in the application (c program) directly?

Hi Henry,

I am not aware of any method to get section details in C code.

The section sizes are allocated before you run the code, I am not sure why you need to get them specifically from linker file (given that they will not vary during runtime). You can always read the map file and use the section sizes in your C code.
