LAUNCHXL-F28069M: Generate PWM interrupt signal each 5th or 6th event trigger

Hi Everyone,

I need to generate interrupt signal from PWM1A each 5th or 6th event. I know that I can generate this interrupt for each 1st, 2nd, or 3rd event by editing the <EPwm1Regs.ETPS.bit.INTPRD>. So i was thinking of generating another PWM2 signal that has twice the PRD of the original PWM1 and synchronized with it, and then generate the interrupt on the 3rd event of PWM2. can someone help me on how to do that.

Ahmed,

Your solution should work without issue. You will need to look at the TRM, the PWM section describes how to synchronize two PWM modules.

After they are synchronized you will need to configure the slower PWM's interrupt and execute whatever code you desire. There are good PWM examples in controlSUITE to get you started.
