looking for a motor controller for our underwater vehicles

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8301-69M-KIT, MOTORWARE, TMS320F28062F

Hello,

I know that there are many developers at the forum. Maybe there are companies that already sell controllers with InstaSpin.

I'm looking for a motor controller for our underwater vehicles and robots.
We checked a lot of different controllers - InstaSpin suits us best. FOC and slow speeds with InstaSpin are the best.
We made our prototype. Now we know what we need. But, we do not have time until the end of summer to make a new motor controller.
We are looking for a commercial solution with InstaSpin. And ready to buy.
We need.
voltage 4S-7S LiPo.Current 40-60A.
Interface.
RS232 or RS485 or CAN (CANOpen). Or all. :)
Identification of the motor. Loadable motor parameters.
Set the speed and acceleration.

Thanks for the help.

Andrew.

  • TMS320F28062F/068F/069F MCU is a good choice for your application if you want to implement the sensorless-FOC on the motor. And you may use DRV8301-69M-KIT tool to tune the motor first before you design yourself motor controller. There is some example lab projects in motorware which can be downloaded from TI website.
  • Thank you, this way we have already passed and found out what we need. I think that we were not alone in this way, and others were faster than we. :) We have a prototype controller with 20A (TMS320F28027F/062F/069F). Make until the end of summer one more controller with 40-60A and use in the project we will not be in time. Therefore, we are looking for a commercial controller with InstaSpin.

  • Good. Sorry, we could not provide such resource to you. You have to search this on google or other website by yourself, there may be additional individuals who have had such controller in the past.
  • Thanks, Before asking, I used google. Alas, the search did not find anything. I did not find a single company that uses InstaSpin. I can find many Chinese controllers without InstaSpin. If I violated the rules of the forum - please excuse me. Probably I have no other way to make a new controller in a couple of months. !! And go on vacation in September. :)
