TMS320F28377S: SEE safer reset

I'm trying to identify what would be the safest way to manually recover from a Single Event Effects (SEE) when performing a hardware reset. From the different reset sources in

SPRUHX5E "Table 2-1. Reset Signals" the most effectively is the POR, however it's one I'd like to avoid implementanting in hardware due to complexity.

Could TRST and XRS resets be combined and have the same result as POR ?
