TMS320F28377S: SEE safer reset

I'm trying to identify what would be the safest way to manually recover from a Single Event Effects (SEE) when performing a hardware reset. From the different reset sources in

SPRUHX5E "Table 2-1. Reset Signals" the most effectively is the POR, however it's one I'd like to avoid implementanting in hardware due to complexity.

Could TRST and XRS resets be combined and have the same result as POR ?

It'll not be same as POR.

But why do you think, POR is needed for this and not just XRSn ?

That table states that JTAG would not be reset by XRSn. I'm assuming it could happen to JTAG logic become active due SEE. Under such a very unlikely case (SEE) of JTAG logic becoming active, could the XRSn alone not be able to reset the CPU? If yes, then I would need to make sure JTAG debug logic got reset as well.

Gilson,

In functional mode, you'll be tying the TRSTn to low (pull-down) on the board so JTAG logic will always be in reset.
